We have our new aviaries being built

Watch this space to see what we have coming to live in them.

Three little ducks hiding in the wildlife area two under the pampus grass, but can you see the third?

It's just to the left of the pampus grass near the top of the picture, a young mallard well hidden!

Adams birds

Meet Pickle, named by the lady who found her!

This little bird got herself into a right pickle when she landed on an area coveredin bird repellent!

This stuff apparently is legal and our councils use it to prevent birds from perching on building.

If a bird lands on it, it gets covered in sticky glue type substance, which then sticks the birds feathers together preventing it from flying.

Pickle was found cover in dirt, flower heads and in a terrible state, had she been left she would have died a very very slow death. When there is a oil spill in the world oceans the companies are sued billions for what could be classed as an accident, but this was deliberate!

Pigeons and doves are closed as vermin and apparently need to be kept under control, but this is cruel, inhumane and deliberate act of cruelty!

Freddie was hand-reared by NANNA and now he has a full cooing conversation with you!

He was named after Freddie Mercury!!

Taking care of aviary birds

The most important thing about keeping aviary bird is cleanliness.

Birds can attract many preditors and mice and rats can be a big problem to bird keepers.

Keeping the aviary clean is so important to help prevent this problem.

Spirit and Joy are two more hand-rears
