Make sure everyone in the house wants and understands what having a cat or two is all about, it is too late once they are home and if they are not wanted the cat/s will soon pick up the vibes and react to them, by spraying (male or female), not using their litter tray, biting, scratching or just running away.
Don't put your new friend through this, they deserve the best and if you are sure you can offer the best then come out and meet them.
Remember a picture means nothing any cat can look cute or aggressive on a photo, it is their personallity that counts and that you can only see up close.

Hi my name is Eddie and I have been made redundant or retired because of health and safety and all I wanted to do was to say thank you to the lovely people who looked after me!
I have been hanging around the offices for over seven years and the nice people made me my own home in a shed with lots of nice food and ear-rubs. To begin with I would only come out when they were not around but then I became brave and started to get closer to them. Weasle was with us a very very long time and we are hoping she will find a home quickly this time round.

Hi my name is Murphy and I am 6-7 years old and when I came to NANNA"s I had the worst case of ear mites they had ever seen! The mites where so deep down in my ear I have to be sudated to get them cleaned out so I am now very sensitive around my ears and I do not like being picked up, if I want to sit on your lap then I will come and sit on it!

Tabetha need's to find the purrfect home
Tabetha is my name because I am a tabby and that is wht the very kind gentleman, who fed and looked after me, called me.
I turned up one day at this gents work place and he kindly fed me and looked after me in return I gave him presents of mice and rats, but his boss has made him get rid of me. This is very sad because every morning he looked for me and I would always here him and go running for my daily fuss.

Annie is the most travelled cat ever to come in to the care of NANNA Rehomed
Annie has come into NANNA because she has not settled the thing is at just three weeks old she was going to be dumped in SPAIN, her owner took her home and hand-reared her. Then due to relationship break up her owner came home to England leaving Annie in Spain under going rabies vaccinations and getting a passport to come to England. Six months later she followed her owner to England but she does not get on with the other cats and is now miserable because children have come on the scene and she is being naughty around the house.
Annie is a neutered five year old cat who just wants to be loved on her own. She does not like dogs, cats and not too keen on children! She has been run over twice, once in Spain and then by a neighbour in England, all in all, Annie has not had a brilliant time due to unforeseen cicumstances throughout her life.

Minnni is a very lucky little cat!
Minnie was a walking time bomb! When she came into us we had noticed her tummy was sagging and that could have meant she had lost weight, just had babies or a number of other things. Being a 10 year old indoor cat, she had not seen anything of the outdoor and found coming into NANNA very stressful and when she would not let us pick her up we began to realise something was wrong, so we took her to the vets to be neutered and there they found that Minnie weighed 3kilos.
On opening her up they found a closed pyometra, actually a 0.6 kilo pyometra that is 0.6 kilos of pus in her uterus. (It is important to note that all cases of pyometra are medical emergencies, but closed pyometra is far more dangerous & life threatening. Both forms of pyometra require immediate veterinary attention. Pyometra can lead to organ damage & septicaemia.)
Minnie would have been dead but she is so lucky that her new mummy came and took her to a new wonderful home and she is being pampered.

We think this male neutered tom is about 10 years young and all he wants is a fire with a bed in front of it. A lap to lay on would be a big bonus and if he gets to share your bed he will be in seventh heaven. He is a stray and is good tempered but he will tell you when he has had enough, he does not hurt you he just warns you. He does not like to be picked up but he will sit on your lap. He is litter trained and loves his dried food, but he is sad not to have found his new home yet.
