NANNA would like to say thank you to the teams from BTCV, without these guys we would still be building pens and trying to make chicken houses, guinea pig home and clearing the barns and building kennels and clearing the site for the car park.................. the list is endless!

A huge big thank you to the BARCLAYCARD team, who have raised funds and a grant for the new rabbit area and for being with us a whole week, plus the weekend to help build everything at our new place.
This is just one area of rabbits, we have over 80 rabbits in at the moment and Barclaycard built over 30 runs for them!
Also from Barclaycard, another group of wonderful staff came out and built our wildlife pond and garden.
Christmas 2009 Thank you from NANNA
NANNA would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this year.
We would like to thank everyone who sent us money through the post from £3 to £1500. It will be a tremendous boost to our funds. Also a huge thanks to everyone who donated through everyclick and continues to do so by using it to search the net.
It has been a very hard year, financially and the huge increase of animals who have need our help one way or another.
Our running costs have increased by over 20% and giving has decreased by 10% so we are running on fumes at the moment.
We need homes for the animals and bedding and of course food, but we also need money to allow us to pay for what the animals need.
We have had a fantastic December 09 but we need to increase our volunteers, so we can have help with the extra fund-raising we will need to do to survive.
We have had a wonderful year in many ways and also a sad year in many ways, but that is how it works when you are dealing with animals.
Happy New year to everyone who gave money, homes, support and thank you for reading our website.

Christmas is here again!
We have been asked again to write our Christmas list for Santa.
This year NANNA has come on leaps and bounds we have lots of new volunteers and we also have over 400 animals in our care at any one time.
What would we like for Christmas?
We need money to help pay our bills!
During this year NANNA has reduced our debt by quite a lot but we still struggle each month to find enough money to pay the bills and by the time we have finished paying there is nothing left.
At the moment it is even more difficult because one of our main suppliers is having difficulties and has had to ask for COD from all his customers. This is not so hard, but for us to pay him for the food he is delivering each week we cannot pay for the food we had two months ago too!
NANNA needs to find an EXTRA £5000 this December just to go into 2010. It is hard for everyone, but when your main supplier is hurting and more animals are needing a place to live the consequences are bad.
Please help if you can even if you can sponsor one of our long-termersSponsorship Page or by setting up a monthly or yearly giving Standing Order Mandate.doc we do soooooo need it.
Someone to sign write our van
We have a second hand van and we need it sign written with our name and telephone number, plus our logo. The van was purchase for NANNA and it has played a huge part in getting the animals to the vets etc.
Seems trivial to ask this when we are in such a pickle but we need the van for taking the animals to the vets and it would be a brilliant way of advertising our charity.
Blankets
We need blankets to keep the animals warm and duvets really hit the mark as you can see!
Everyone has old blankets, duvets, towels and sheets so please think of us if you can, we really could do with them.
Food
Tins of cat food are always needed, good quaility hay for the rabbits, horses, goats and sheep.
Carrots, apples, vegetables and fruit are also a daily need here at NANNA.
Crickets for the exotics.
We go through Eight bags of rabbit food a WEEK
I have decided to do NANNA's Twelve days of Christmas, it does not rhyme so don't try to sing it someone may think there is another cat needing a home!!!!
One the first day of Christmas someone sent to me

Two bags of Apple chaff to feed the ponies
Third day £300 of vet fees!
Four bags of layer pellets for the turkeys
Five bags of Sheep feed.
Six bags of Goat feed
Seven tubs of crickets
Eight bags of Rabbit Feed
Nine bags of Cat Litter
Ten bags of sow and weaner feed
Eleven bale of Straw for bedding
Twelve bale of Hay for me!
I could continue, with the salad, fruit, mealworms, waxworms, sand, Electricity, telephone calls, the list is endless, so if you don't want to give money please ask us which food we use and give food or bedding, we do truly need it.
We need all of this each week not 12 days!
Fax Machine
Have you an old fax machine? We need one the rats got to the last one and they had curly hair for a month!!!
1000m Wall Unit
For the students room, they keep having their food eaten by some of the cats and plastic bags are not good for the cats! SO if you have one that you are getting rid of send it our way!
Tombola Goodies
If you have lots of smellies this Christmas give it to us we can use it in our tombola's. Any item you get that you don't really need we need it!
Bric-a-brac
We need bric-a-brac for our market stalls
Basically anything you have could be handy to the animals so please pick up the phone and ask us
