On many occassions we are asked to help re-home animals and for one reason or another we can not take them in to our care so this page is for those people who need to rehome the pets and can not get them into any rescue centre.

This is another way NANNA tries to help as we pride ourselves in trying to help ALL animals large or small, but please bear with us this is a new scheme to us and we do our best to keep updated.

Henry (Head-butt) RE-HOMED

Henry (Headbutt), he did a lot of headbutting before he was neutered, is a loving cat but unfortuantely we have two others and thought that perhaps after a little while they would get along with one another - it doesn't look like it is going to happen.
Henry was in a bit of a sorry state when he turned up and we have since relieved him of his tick problem and his flea problem. We had him tested for Feline HIV and Feline leukemia both came back negative. We have had Henry neutered since.
He is a lovely boy but just cannot get along with one of our other cats and Tax is just being beat up and is now on another course of antibiotics for a wound inflicted in one of there brawls, so I think he would benefit from a home where no other cats live.
He is a bit scared of fast moving legs and feet and he is a bit timid. He loves his food and is very grateful for whatever he gets. I really do hope you can help to find him a new home.

Their owner would like to keep them with her until they have found the right homes.

Sooty is looking for a new forever home (Not Sure what has happened to this little one)!

Here is what his owner has to say about him: Well, he is such a lovely cat, about 7 yrs old. He's been neutered. The vet I have always taken him to is St Peter's Avenue in Kettering. He had a couple of scrapes about a year ago which resulted in him having an operation on his side where he had been bitten quite deep. That's all healed up now but I think he remembers it as he doesn't like to be stroked too much at the site.

He is very affectionate and would be fussed all day if he could! He's fully house trained, cries to go out, cries to come in. He goes out at night but in the winter if it's really cold I keep him in. I have always fed him with either KiteKat or Whiskers (he doesn't like rabbit flavour) along with Whiskers or Felix cat milk.

SMOKEY AND SPARKIE REHOMED

This is Smokey. He wandered into the garden in a very bad state. His fur was matted and full of fleas and he was terrified of humans. It took a long time to gain his confidence but after many months, Smokey allowed the owner to basket him and take him to the vet. He was neutered and injected and his fur was shaved it was so bad. The vet puts his age at roughly 12 now. He is now, after 8 years, a nervous cat who purrs a lot at feeding time but will not be handled and hides if the doorbell rings rather than see people. His whole character points to ill treatment at the hands of man. He is at Irchester Cattery with Mrs Waters at the moment and she can be contacted on 01933 355370 if you want to see him. He lived with Sparkie for 8 years and they would be better kept together. See notes on Sparkie. His 91 year old owner is now in a care home permanently after many operations and illness and he needs someone to love him and feed him for the rest of his life.

Here is Smokey's friend Sparkie!

This is Sparkie. Ten years ago, he was sheltering in the garden, frightened and in a poor state. It took many weeks and much patience to encourage him into the house to feed. He was neutered and injected and gradually became used to the new surroundings. The vet put his age at 4-5 years then which makes him now 14 -15.
He is a nervous cat who likes routine. He does not respond to stroking or cuddling. The elderly lady who looked after him never handled him but he would sit on her lap when he wanted. You cannot get him to do anything he does not want to do. He will hiss as a warning if disturbed. His 91 year old owner is now in a care home permanently after several operations and illness and he needs someone to care for him for the rest of his life. He is with Mrs Waters at Irchester cattery who will allow viewing. Phone 01933 355370.
Two years after he found his home, another cat wandered into the garden in an even worse state. He has lived with this cat for 10 years and to keep them together would be best.
